FDC37B78x has advanced Consumer IR and IrDA v1.0 support to incorporate a keyboard interface, real-time clock, SMSC's true CMOS 765B floppy disk controller with 100% IBM PC/XTTM and PC/ATTM architecture compatibilities as well as data overflow and underflow protection, advanced digital data separator, and a Multi-Mode parallel port with ChiProtectTM.
The product incorporates sophisticated power control circuitry (PCC), which supports multiple low power down modes. It also features SMI support and Intelligent Power Management including PME and SCI/ACPI support. FDC37B78x has the recommended functionality to support Windows '95, PC97 and PC98.
