Part details & applications

The ADMV1555 is a compact, in phase quadrature (I/Q) mixer in a leadless, RoHS compliant, surface-mount technology (SMT), land grid array (LGA) package. The device can be used as either an image reject mixer or a single sideband upconverter. The ADMV1555 uses two standard double balanced mixer cells and a 90° hybrid fabricated in a gallium arsenide (GaAs), monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) process and requires no external components or matching circuitry. It is a much smaller alternative to a hybrid style image reject mixer and an SSB upconverter assembly. The RoHS compliant ADMV1555 eliminates the need for wire bonding, allowing the use of surface-mount manufacturing techniques.
