The MTCH1030 is a (up to) three channel touch controller with digital output. The sensitivity, response time, signal oversampling are configurable via GPIO settings. The MTCH1030 delivers water tolerant touch by applying driven shield+ technology. The driven shield increases SNR, actively protects against noise and enables water tolerant touch.

MTCH10xx touch turnkey family

Robust Touch, easy to design in, no firmware efforts during development, GPIO controlled:

• MTCH1010 - one touch channel
• MTCH1060 - up to six touch channels

The MTCH10xx family delivers a robust touch experience under challenging condition. Please follow the design guidelines from Microchips Capacitive Touch Design Guide (AN2334).

The MTCH1030 and MTCH1060 add enhanced features:

• Easy Tune - saving time in development by auto-tuning buttons during runtime
• Single Button Mode - Intelligent power mode
• Touch Tune - Touch data visualization via MPLAB Data Visualizer during development and validation

The MTCH1060 Evaluation Kit (EV54M59A) passes the highest test level 3 (10Vrms) of the IEC6100-4-6 conducted immunity standard, got 6 out of the box working buttons and the ability to connect external electrodes for quick prototyping. By disabling 3 channels of the MTCH1060 DevKit it becomes the fitting DevKit for the MTCH1030.
