The ECE5028 is an advanced I/O SMSC BC-Link Companion. It has an LPC Interface with Clock Run Support, a Secure PortSwitchTM Interface, a Hot Plug LPC Docking Interface, a high-speed 16550A-Compatible UART serial port and an Advanced Infrared Communications Controller. The product also has bi-directional Multi-Mode Parallel Port with ChiProtect that is IBM PC/XTTM, PC/ATTM, and PS/2 compatible. In sleep mode, ECE5028 has a low standby current with one power plane.
